About Sarah Laverty & YogaNurse4Wellbeing
Discover the journey behind YogaNurse4Wellbeing and my commitment to enhancing mental health, self-care, and overall well-being in North Devon and beyond.

Hi, I’m Sarah Laverty. As a Registered Nurse with a PGcert in Clinical Education, my career in the health services sparked a deep passion for supporting my fellow healthcare workers. Over the years, I noticed a significant gap in restorative and resilience-based clinical supervision for staff.
To help bridge this gap, I combine my clinical background with my experience as a Professional Nursing Advocate, Schwartz Round facilitator, Advanced Communication Skills facilitator, and Yoga Teacher.
I would love to welcome you and your team into a safe, supportive space designed for open discussions, mindfulness, and yoga. These sessions are highly adaptable for any team in any sector. Ultimately, my goal is simple: to help you and your colleagues feel truly valued, supported, and fulfilled—both at work and at home.

What makes YogaNurse4Wellbeing unique?
It is uncommon to find a registered nurse, teacher, advanced communication trainer, and restorative and resilience-based clinical supervisor who is also trained in yoga. My unique background allows me to offer a truly holistic approach to well-being. Having been diagnosed with ADHD at 41 and experiencing surgical menopause at 39, I profoundly understand the vital need for self-care for everyone, especially parents and workers. I am also planning to train in Reiki and massage to further help people unwind and realise the necessity of prioritising their well-being.

My journey from nursing to yoga for well-being
My career in healthcare has been filled with diverse experiences, both challenging and rewarding. These experiences, alongside extensive supervision courses, highlighted the critical importance of team building and fostering well-being. Recognising the need to improve these aspects across all professions, not just healthcare, I founded YogaNurse4Wellbeing after completing my yoga teacher training with the path of yoga. My aim is to bring a holistic approach to self-care and mental health, inspired by real-world needs.
I enjoy helping everyone on their journey to improved well-being, utilising aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, and open communication. I believe menopausal working mothers often have it particularly tough and may not realise the importance of self-care. Similarly, many men might not think self-care applies to them. My mission is to empower individuals from all walks of life to embrace self-care as a vital component of their daily routine, fostering profound positive changes in their lives.
