To all the ADHD, menopause mums out there…
If you’re forgetting why you walked into a room, crying over something tiny, snapping at the people you love, losing your keys for the third time today, feeling completely overwhelmed by the noise in your own mind, and wondering why everything suddenly feels so much harder…
You’re not alone.
ADHD and menopause can be a tough combination. Hormonal changes can make ADHD symptoms feel louder, making focus, memory, emotions, sleep, and energy even more challenging than before.
Some days, simply getting everyone fed, dressed, and through the day is a huge achievement.
Please be kind to yourself.
You don’t have to have a spotless house, endless patience, or all the answers. Your children don’t need a perfect mum. They need a mum who keeps showing up, even on the hard days.
Take the breaks when you can. Ask for help when you need it. Rest without guilt.
And if today feels heavy, remember this: you are doing better than you think.
Sending love to every ADHD menopause mum who is quietly carrying more than most people realise. ❤️
